Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Vacation Rental Property Reservation Platform (referred to as the "Platform"). Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using the Platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

  • "Platform" refers to the vacation rental property reservation system operated by Guestdoors.
  • "User" refers to any individual or entity accessing or using the Platform.
  • "Host" refers to individuals or entities offering vacation rental properties through the Platform.
  • "Guest" refers to individuals or entities making reservations for vacation rental properties through the Platform.
  • "Property card" refers to a web page generated for an individual property unit of the host and includes a reservation and a payment processing system.

    • 2. Account Registration

    Hosts must create an account to gain access to creating Property Cards on the Platform and process payments with their connected Stripe account. - Hosts must provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration. - Hosts are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials

    3. Property Listings

    Hosts are responsible for providing accurate information about their rental properties. It is the responsibility of the host to ensure the Platform is used with the intention of renting out their property units. Misuse of the Platform will be investigated and associated Property Cards removed. - Hosts must comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to their properties. - Hosts grant the Platform the right to use and display their property listings. - Hosts are responsible for the content of their Property Card

    4. Reservations

    - Guests may reserve rental properties through the Platform. - Reservations are subject to the terms set by the Host, including rates, availability, cancellation policies and house rules. - Guests must pay all fees and charges as specified during the reservation process.

    5. Payments

    - Payments are processed through the Platform using secure payment methods provided by Stripe Inc. - The Platform charges a service fee at a fixed rate (e.g. 3%). - Stripe Inc will charge an additional payment processing and/or currency conversion fee in accordance with their service pricing - Hosts will receive payments in accordance with the payment terms agreed upon with the Stripe Inc.

    6. Cancellations

    - Cancellation policies are determined by Hosts and disclosed in property listings. - Guests are responsible for reviewing and adhering to the Host's cancellation policy. - Hosts have an option to refund payments. Refunds, will be handled according to the Host's policy and these Terms.

    7. Use Restrictions

    - Users may not use the Platform for any unlawful or prohibited purpose. - Users may not interfere with the Platform's operations, security, or functionality.

    8. Privacy and Data Use

    - User data is subject to the Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms. - The Platform may collect and use personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

    9. Intellectual Property

    - The Platform and its content are protected by intellectual property laws. - Hosts may copy, modify or distribute only the content which was created by them. - Other users may not copy, modify, or distribute any content from the Platform without consent.

    10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

    - The Platform provides property listings and reservation services, but it does not own or control the properties. - The Platform is not responsible for the quality or accuracy of property listings or Host services. - The Platform's liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

    11. Indemnification

    - Users agree to indemnify and hold the Platform, its affiliates, and its employees harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from their use of the Platform.

    12. Termination

    - The Platform may terminate or suspend user accounts at its discretion. - Users may terminate their account at any time by contacting Guestdoors at app@guestdoors.com

    13. Changes to Terms

    - The Platform reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. - Users will be notified of any changes, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

    14. Governing Law

    - These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. - Any legal action related to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Switzerland.
