Documentation (v0.1.0)
To get paid online by your guests through Guestdoors, you need to connect your bank account. We use Stripe, a secure and globally trusted payment processor, to handle all payment-related activities, including payouts directly to your bank.
Stripe is a company that provides software to allow businesses to accept payments and manage their operations online. Guestdoors uses Stripe to process payments. When a guest pays for their booking on Guestdoors using a credit or debit card, Stripe handles the entire transaction securely. It ensures the guest's payment information is protected and the payment is safely transferred to your bank account.
Stripe's main job is to act as a secure intermediary between your guest's bank and your bank to make online payments possible. It is one of the most secure payment platforms in the world and meets the highest industry standards for security (known as PCI Level 1 compliance).
Guestdoors never sees or directly stores your personal bank details or your guests' payment details. This information is directly entered into, stored and processed by Stripe, protecting both you and your guests.
Furthermore, Stripe is the global standard for online payments, trusted by millions of businesses of all sizes. You're in good company, as it's the same payment platform used by major companies like Amazon, Google, Slack, and even Airbnb. By using an industry leader like Stripe, we ensure your payment processing is secure, reliable, and built on world-class infrastructure.
