Creating Your Guestdoors Account

Setting up your account is the first step towards getting direct bookings for your properties. This guide will walk you through our straightforward registration and onboarding process.

1. Initial Account Setup (Welcome Page)

After successfully signing up, we'll ask for a few more details to configure your account:

  • Account Type: Choose whether you are registering as an Individual/Sole Proprietor or a Business.

  • User name: Select a unique user name for your Guestdoors profile. This name will be used as a unique identifier for your public-facing pages - this name will be used in the URLs of your property pages. Changing this name is not possible later on, so choose wisely.

    Example: "forrestlodges" which will assign the following domain to your account: https://forrestlodges.guestdoors.com.

  • Country: Select the country where you or your business is based. This is important for integrating your bank account and cannot be changed later.

2. Connect Your Bank Account via Stripe

Next, you'll be prompted to connect your bank account via Stripe.

Stripe is a globally recognized and secure payment processing platform that allows businesses to accept payments online. By connecting your Stripe account, you enable us to securely handle transactions, manage payouts, and ensure that your earnings are safely deposited directly into your bank account.

Stripe is trusted by leading companies worldwide, including giants like Airbnb, Google, Shopify, and Slack. Through our partnership, we provide you with a seamless Stripe integration to securely manage your finances as a host.

If you already have a Stripe account, you can simply connect it to Guestdoors. Otherwise, we will initiate an onboarding process with Stripe, where you will be asked to provide some additional information about your business, such as your business and bank account details to ensure payouts are processed correctly.

Be prepared to go through an identify verification process, which is a standard procedure and should take no more than 5 minutes. This is a security measure to ensure the security of the platform and reduce the risk of fraud.

Alltogether, this process should take no more than 10-15 minutes. You can stop the onboarding process at any time and continue later. Note that you will not be able to accept card payments / receive payouts /publish property pages until you connect your bank account.
